The journey to truly understanding ourselves can be a difficult and daunting task to navigate alone. In one moment, we may feel like the wind in our sails, and without out warning we may get caught up and trapped in the same familiar storms of shame, trauma, and pain. This can feel isolating and lonely, but you don’t have to be alone in life’s storms. As a therapist my aim to help you reach self-acceptance, inner tranquility, and personal understanding to better handle any poor weather that life throws your way.
My areas of focus include trauma, sex therapy, individuals who feel stuck in their anxious and worried minds, relationship struggles, as well as difficulties with self-worth and self-acceptance.
In my practice, I use non-judgmental, sex positive, narrative focused approaches that are always client-centered and trauma informed. This includes Mind-Body Bridging, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Mindfulness Practices, and Internal Family Systems. I am also trained In and practice Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and Gottman Therapy. When our minds are our own worst enemy lets work on rewriting your story together.
